For years there is a year-in-review questionnaire in the German blogospere. I like it, although I am not very fond of the superlatives (Most delicious, most impressive, most touching…):

Gained or lost weight?
I do not own a scale, and my clothes still fit. So I guess the weight is pretty much the same.

Longer or shorter hair?
I need to have a haircut. Soon.

More nearsighted or farsighted?
My old boss once said that he lost a diopter to his master thesis and one on his doctoral thesis. I fear a similar fate. Before I go to the hairdresser, I should visit my ophthalmologist.

More or less money?
Less. At least it feels this way. Being married we agreed upon me having the worse wage tax classification. The Newly-to-me-wed-Husband transfers the difference each month, but still the amount labeled as wage feels less.

Spent more or less?
More. I do not like to check my account.

Moved more or less?
Slightly more, maybe? At least I signed a contract at the “Health Gym”. And used the bike to get there. The two or three times I went…

The most crack-brained plan?
Finishing my thesis through staring at the screen?
Finishing my thesis while being online?

The most dangerous action/adventure?
No idea. My year could as well be label “Life Of A Couch Potato” or “Desk Potato”, to be correct. Risking thrombosis through this adventurous lifestyle, maybe.

The best sex?
Yes. Nice of you to ask.

The most expensive purchase?
New windows for my apartment. New bikes. New chairs.

The most delicious meal?
Christmas dinner with the parents in Our City.
The bread roll with with fish in the marina during our vacation.
The wedding anniversary dinner.

The most impressive book?
Did I read for pleasure? I need to check the shelves again.

The most moving/touching movie?
I have been to the movies one time in 2008, where I saw “W”. Would not call that the most touching movie. On TV I stick to detective stories. They do not classify as well.

The best CD?
I did not purchase one. Oh well.

The most beautiful concert?
Leonard Cohen.
And Lang-Lang was great as well.

Spent the most time with …?
My notebook. My thesis drafts.

Spent the loviliest time with …?
The Newly-to-me-wed-Husband

Prevailing emotion in 2008?
